Text messages from ZeroPercent

Last updated: 7 September 2026

The short version. ZeroPercent sends two kinds of text: a sign-in code to your own number when you ask for one, and a rescue text to the people you chose, on the day your phone has died. We never send marketing by text. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from that number, and HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

1. Who sends these messages

ZeroPercent is a trading name of OppBox Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 17351386). We send texts through Twilio, a licensed messaging provider. In the United Kingdom, sign-in codes arrive from the sender name ZeroPercent and rescue texts from 07460 069376. In the United States, both arrive from our US toll-free number, shown in the app when you add a US contact.

2. Sign-in codes

When you create an account, sign in, or change the number your account rests on, we text a six-digit code to the mobile number you typed. That is the whole of the message. You asked for it by tapping the button in the app, and it stops when you stop asking. Never share a code with anyone: ZeroPercent will never ask you for one.

3. Rescue texts

The people on your trusted list are the only other people we text, and only when you send a rescue from zeropercentapp.com/rescue because your phone has died, been lost, or been stolen. The message carries your name, your code word if you set one, and anything you typed. The person can reply, and their reply reaches you on the borrowed phone while your rescue session is open.

You are asked to introduce ZeroPercent to each trusted contact yourself, from your own phone, before anything goes wrong, so nobody hears from us who has not already heard from you. A rescue session can send at most ten texts, and no number receives more than a small number of ZeroPercent texts in a day, whoever sends them.

4. How often

There is no schedule. Sign-in codes arrive when you request one. Rescue texts arrive when someone who chose you as a trusted contact is in difficulty, which for most people is a handful of times a year, or never.

5. Stopping messages

6. Cost

We do not charge for any text. Your mobile provider may: message and data rates apply as they do to any text you receive. Rescue texts to UK numbers and US numbers are sent from a number in that country, so they are never international texts for the person receiving them.

7. Your number and your privacy

Your mobile number is your account, and a trusted contact's number is stored so that a rescue can reach them. Numbers are never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for marketing. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Twilio processes messages on our behalf and keeps delivery records for a limited time. Our privacy policy has the rest.

8. Contact

Email [email protected] with anything about text messages, including to be removed from a trusted list you did not agree to.
